The Pima Community College women’s golf team closed out its fourth tournament of the season Tuesday as it hosted the Pima CC Invitational at The Preserve Golf Club.

Sophomore Nick Arias (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the day 4 for 9 with four RBIs and three runs scored while fellow sophomore Jontae Hennesy (Horizon HS) had four RBIs and two runs scored in the first game as the No. 13 ranked Aztecs baseball team split at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, winning 9-7 and falling 9-6. The Pima Community College baseball team (29-9, 15-7 in ACCAC) was forced to rally in both games on Tuesday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (22-13, 11-11).

Freshman Talia Martin finished the day 4 for 7 with four RBIs and four runs scored while freshman Jazmyne Waddell had five RBIs and a home run in the first game and pitched a shutout in the second game as Softball won their 14th straight game after sweeping Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The Pima Community College softball team (23-8, 10-2 in ACCAC) picked up its 14th straight win on Tuesday in an ACCAC doubleheader sweep over Chandler-Gilbert Community College (11-12, 7-10).

Aztecs Baseball picked up their sixth straight win after sweeping GateWay Community College at the West Campus Aztec Field. Sophomore David Shackelford went 2 for 6 with four RBIs and two runs scored while freshman Collin Senior (Horizon HS) was 2 for 8 with four RBIs and a run. The Pima Community College men’s track & field competed at the Willie Williams Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Roy P. Drachman Stadium hosted by the University of Arizona.

Sophomore Camila Zepeda (Tucson Magnet HS) went 5 for 8 with nine RBIs, four runs scored and three home runs as sophomore Alexis Tsosie-Hood pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up two hits with eight strikeouts as the Aztecs won their 12th straight after sweeping Paradise Valley Community College. The Pima Community College softball team (21-8, 8-2 in ACCAC) continued its stellar play as it swept an ACCAC conference doubleheader on the road at Paradise Valley Community College (2-12, 2-12) on Saturday in Phoenix.

Freshman Rylei Waugh scored a season-high and new Pima Women's Basketball record of 43 points as the No. 13 seeded Aztecs defeated No. 10 Harcum College 98-87 to capture seventh place at the NJCAA Division II Tournament. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (27-9) closed out the 2023-24 season on Saturday with a huge victory and left an imprint in the record books at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

The Pima Community College men’s basketball season came to an end on Friday at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Sophomore Jordan Joe was a flawless 7 for 7 from the field and 3 for 3 from beyond the arc while freshman Amelie Buffill-Gutierrez (Sabino HS) scored a season-high 16 points on 5 for 7 shooting as the No. 13 seeded Women's Basketball team beat No. 11 Southern Arkansas University Tech 88-67 to advance to the seventh-place consolation finals. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (26-9) will play its final game on the final day of the season as it produced a balanced attack on Friday against Southern Arkansas University (SAU) Tech.

Sophomore Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) and freshman Gabe Oldham produced strong games as the No. 9 seeded Aztecs beat No. 16 Hocking College 107-92 on Thursday in seventh-place consolation bracket play. Baker scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half while Oldham finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (29-5) is still alive in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after picking up the win on Thursday against No. 16 seed Hocking College (24-8) in the seventh-place consolation bracket.

Sophomore Camila Zepeda was selected ACCAC Division I Player of the Week while freshman Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) was named ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week for the week of Mar. 10-16. Pima Community College softball players Camilla Zepeda (Tucson Magnet HS) and Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) flexed their muscles during the six games played for the week of March 10-16 as they got recognition from the ACCAC conference.

The No. 13 seeded Aztecs Women's Basketball team kept their season alive with a 79-66 win over No. 12 Parkland College in the seventh-place consolation bracket. Freshman Rylei Waugh finished with a team-high 21 points while sophomore Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) finished with her 11th double-double of the season of 17 points and 13 rebounds. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (25-9) bounced back in consolation bracket play on Wednesday at the NJCAA Division II Tournament in Joplin, MO.

The No. 18 ranked Aztecs Baseball team picked up an ACCAC conference road sweep as they beat Glendale Community College 5-1 and 9-0. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (28-5) was forced to try overcome a double digit deficit in its NJCAA Division II National Tournament second round game against Des Moines Area Community College but it proved to be too much.

Freshman Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) posted a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds but the No. 13 seeded Aztecs fell short in their comeback bid against No. 4 CCBC Essex 80-74.
