Pima Community College softball players Talia Martin (Mountain View HS) and Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) were key to the Aztecs continuing their winning ways for the week April 7-13 and received accolades from the ACCAC conference.

Freshman Nolan Ganter (Pinnacle HS) finished the day 7 for 8 with eight RBIs, five runs scored, four doubles and a triple as the No. 16 ranked Aztecs baseball team beat Scottsdale Post Grad 21-4 in five innings and 11-10 in seven innings. The Pima Community College women’s golf team closed out the regular season on Monday at the Chandler-Gilbert CC Invitational held at the Las Colinas Golf Club in Queen Creek.

Sophomore Antonio Avila went 2 for 6 with three RBIs and three runs scored while freshman Maclain Roberts pitched a five innings of shutout ball, giving up two hits with six strikeouts and two walks as the No. 14 ranked Aztecs baseball earned a split at Yavapai College; falling 4-3 but bouncing back with a 23-0 win. The Pima Community College baseball team (36-12, 22-10 in ACCAC) dropped a close first game but responded with a run-rule victory on Saturday in its ACCAC conference doubleheader at Yavapai College (13-33, 7-23).

The Pima Community College men’s track & field teams competed at the GCC Invitational on Saturday held at Glendale Community College.

Freshman Aubrey Marx and sophomore Camila Zepeda combined to go 8 for 16 with six RBIs and six runs scored as the Softball team's winning streak reached 24 games after sweeping Scottsdale Community College 9-5 and 10-0. The Pima Community College women’s track & field teams competed at the GCC Invitational on Saturday held at Glendale Community College.

Sophomore guard Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) became the 11th Men's Basketball NJCAA All-American as he was selected to the Third Team. He averaged 18.0 points playing and starting in all 35 games this season. He scored in double figures in 33 of the 35 games he played in. Pima Community College men’s basketball player Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) culminated his Pima career with a national award.

Freshman LHP Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) earned her second nod as ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week as she threw 12 innings last week, giving up four earned runs with three strikeouts. Pima Community College softball pitcher Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) was recognized by the ACCAC conference for the third time this season.

Aztecs women's basketball freshman guard Rylei Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) became the 19th NJCAA All-American in Pima women's basketball history as she was selected to the First Team. Waugh scored 580 this season and averaged 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists. She broke the NJCAA Tournament record with 20 free throws made in a game and 40 free throws made for a tournament. Sophomore Diego Alvarez (Sahuarita HS) pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up six hits with four strikeouts and one walk while freshman Collin Senior went 4 for 8 with four RBIs and a run scored as the No. 14 ranked Aztecs baseball team split with No. 2 Central Arizona College; winning 5-0 and falling 7-5. The Pima Community College baseball team (35-11, 21-9 in ACCAC) hosted Central Arizona College (38-9, 25-5) on Tuesday in a matchup between two NJCAA Division I Nationally Ranked teams at the West Campus Aztec Field.

Sophomore Luis Lopez placed ninth with a two-day score of 147 (74-73) as the Aztecs Men's Golf team finished in third place at the Eastern Arizona Invitational to close out the regular season. The Pima Community College men’s golf team competed in its sixth and final regular season tournament of the 2024 season on Monday and Tuesday at the Eastern Arizona College Invitational held at the Mt. Graham Golf Club in Thatcher.

Freshman Talia Martin homered in the 8th inning and freshman Nevaeah Bracamonte threw the final one and two-third innings to help the Aztecs Softball prolong their 22-game winning streak after sweeping Yavapai College 13-3 and 11-9. Freshman Collin Senior (Horizon HS) finished the day 3 for 7 with four RBIs and a run scored while sophomore Garrett Hicks pitched five and two-third innings of shutout ball, giving up two hits with nine strikeouts and one walk as the No. 19 ranked baseball team swept Eastern Arizona College; winning 2-1 and 12-2 (7 innings). The Pima Community College baseball team (34-10, 20-8 in ACCAC) secured 20 ACCAC conference wins for the fifth straight year (excluding the 2020 Covid season) on Saturday as it swept Eastern Arizona College (21-16, 13-15) in a doubleheader between two ACCAC Division I programs.

Freshman Nathaniel Curtiss improved on his national qualifier in the High Jump and is now second in school history (2.16 meters, 7-feet, 1-inch).
