Wong selected ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week

Pima Community College baseball player Michael Wong threw a gem in his start last week and received recognition by the conference.

Wong, a freshman pitcher, was named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday for the week of Feb. 26-Mar. 4.

Wong threw a one-hit shutout in Pima's 1-0 win over Glendale Community College. He had seven strikeouts and one walk.

The Aztecs return to the West Campus Baseball Field on Saturday against Yavapai College. The first game of the doubleheader starts at noon.
