Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College (PCC) will move the soccer, basketball and volleyball seasons to Spring 2021 in order to align with national guidelines and keep students and the community safe during the COVID pandemic.

The Pima Community College Athletics program produced another 30+ student-athletes as the NJCAA All-Academic teams were released on Friday on the NJCAA website.

Several Pima Community College Athletic teams received high honors on Thursday as programs were featured as 2019-20 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year.

Pima Community College baseball pitcher Angel Castillo (Sunnyside HS) will move on in his academic and athletic careers at the four-year university level.

Aztecs baseball pitcher Ian Mejia (Sahuarita HS) signed his letter of intent to continue his education and collegiate career at New Mexico State University, an NCAA Division I school in Las Cruces, NM. The National Junior College Athletic Association has made a decision in regards to spring sports competition at this time.

The Pima Community College baseball team (18-7) hosted a non-conference doubleheader against Douglas College (Can.) on Tuesday at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field.

The Pima Community College baseball team (16-7, 5-7 in ACCAC) could not maintain its leads as it fell at Yavapai College (22-3, 12-3) on Saturday in Prescott.

Sophomore Alex Bustamante (Canyon del Oro HS) did work at the plate and on the mound as he 3 for 8 with an RBI and a run scored as the No. 17 Aztecs baseball team split with No. 16 Central Arizona College. The Pima Community College baseball team (16-5, 5-5 in ACCAC) earned its first road victory of the season on Tuesday in a split at No. 16 Central Arizona College.

Sophomore Armando Aguilar hit the go-ahead sacrifice-dly RBI in the first game and homered in the second game as the No. 11 ranked Aztecs baseball team snapped a four-game skid by sweeping Eastern Arizona College 5-4 and 6-4. The Pima Community College baseball team (15-4, 4-4 in ACCAC) snapped a four-game losing streak after earning a sweep against Eastern Arizona College (10-10, 2-6) on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field.
