Bio

Started at Pima: 2014
Education: Master’s degree in Counseling and Mental Health from the University of Arizona; Bachelor’s degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from the University of Texas-El Paso
Coaching/Playing Experience: Defensive backs, wide receivers and special teams coordinator at Catalina Magnet  (2012-2013); assistant defensive backs and assistant strength coach at Cathedral High School in El Paso, TX (2008-2009). Played in the Arena and Indoor Football Leagues; played at the University of Texas-El Paso (2007-2008); cornerback (freshman year) and running back/wide receiver (sophomore year) at Pima (2004-2005)
Highlights: 
Coached Landry Payne, Olen Brown, who were awarded All Conference Honors. Landry Payne finished the 2015 season with 5 INT’s and accumulated 54 tackles, 2 TFL’s, 8 PBU’s and a FF. Signed by Oregon State. In 2014, coached Safety Markell Simmons; who finished the season with 5 INT’s; 2 of which he returned for touchdowns. Markell is signed to TCU.  As a player for UTEP, Coach Kelly was awarded the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal in 2008. 
Personal: Coach George Kelly is a school counselor at Cragin Elementary. Lives in the Tucson area and is married to Adriana, has a son Gianni King, and daughter Ana Gisele
