Coaching Experience: Pima Community College (Quarterbacks coach, 2015-2016), Scottsdale Community College (Wide Receivers coach, 2013-2015), Butler Community College (Wide Receivers coach, 2012), Ottawa University (Undergraduate Assistant, 2010-2011). Coach Ortiz coached NFL players Javess Blue (Green Bay Packers), who was a second-team All-American /first team KJCCC All-Conference at Butler CC, Braedon Bowman (Jacksonville Jaguars), a first team All-WSFL/ACCAC player at Scottsdale CC and Larry Scott (San Diego Chargers).
Playing Experience: Coach Ortiz played at wide receiver at Ottawa University, Scottsdale Community College and Wilbraham and Monson Academy.
Highlights: Coach Ortiz has coached 21 wide receivers who continued their careers at the Division I college level.
Personal: Wife Monica Ortiz, "we love the outdoors and we are foodies. We go anywhere for good food." Three nephews: Zio, Darren and Marcus and also have three cats: Tiger, Taz and Tug.
