The Pima Community College Athletics program had another 30+ student-athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic recognition and one team named NJCAA All-Academic honorable mention.

Pima Community College football player Tommy Lawrence (Mountain View HS) signed his national letter of intent on Tuesday to continue his education and collegiate career at the four-year university level.

The Pima Community College football team is going bowling for the second time in program history.

Sophomore Macarius Blount (Mountain Pointe HS) intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter but the No. 16 ranked Aztecs couldn't hold on as they fell to Arizona Western College 24-20 on Saturday in Yuma. The Pima Community College football team (6-3, 4-2 in WSFL) closed out the regular season on Saturday at Arizona Western College (6-4, 4-3) as the Aztecs could not get the final stop with under a minute to play.

Freshman quarterback Brooks Ringer went 17 for 23 with 226 yards passing with two touchdowns and one interception but the No. 11 ranked Aztecs fell at No. 8 Snow College 64-17. The Aztecs are now 6-2 overall and 4-1 in WSFL play. Photo by Ben Carbajal

Pima Community College football player Jake Smith (Desert Ridge HS) made the biggest play of the Aztecs’ season on Saturday and the WSFL took notice.

Pima Community College Interim Athletic Director Jim Monaco was named to the permanent position. In the last 23 months as the Interim Athletic Director, he has helped in creating partnerships with Chapman Automotive and Adidas as well as revitalize the West Campus field with lights and a new scoreboard.
