Bailey and Clark's double-doubles carry Aztecs men's basketball passed GCU Club

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (4-0) built a big first half lead and never looked back as it beat the Grand Canyon University Club team on Saturday at the West Campus Gym.

The Aztecs won 118-60 behind the bench production of freshmen Jeremiah Bailey and Elloheim Clark (Apollo HS). The Aztecs led 67-17 at halftime.

Bailey finished the game with 19 points and 17 rebounds. He shot 8 for 13 from the field and also had eight offensive rebounds and three steals. Clark fell three rebounds short of a triple-double with 14 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. He also had five steals.

Freshman Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) had a game-high 20 points on 8 for 10 shooting to go along with six rebounds and two steals. Freshman Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) contributed with 15 points while sophomore Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) scored 11 and sophomore Keven Biggs (Cienega HS) had 10 points.

The Aztecs open ACCAC conference play on Tuesday when they play at Tohono O'Odham Community College in Sells, AZ. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
