Biggs, Murphy, Carrasco named All-ACCAC and All-Region; Travis selected All-ACCAC

Four Pima Community College men's basketball players were selected to the All-ACCAC and All-Region teams on Wednesday.

Sophomore guard Keven Biggs (Cienega HS) was named first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II. He played and started in 24 games this season averaging 16.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 block per game. He had a stretch of 20 points or more in seven straight games. There were only three games where he scored in single digits.

Sophomore guard Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) was also selected first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II. He played and started in all 30 games for the Aztecs as he averaged 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He received the ACCAC Division II Player of the Week honor on two occasions.

Freshman guard Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) was named second team All-ACCAC and second team All-Region I, Division II. He played in all 30 games; making 18 starts. Carrasco led the team and was fourth in the ACCAC averaging 18.0 points per game. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. He also scored in single figures only three times during the season.

Sophomore Alize Travis was selected third team All-ACCAC. He played in 25 games and made 19 starts. He averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and was fourth in the ACCAC with 6.6 assists per game.

The Aztecs led the NJCAA in points-per-game with 103.7 and rebounds at 51.4. They ranked second in field goals made with 1,115 and free throws made with 576. The Aztecs ranked third in steals (13.2) assists (24.8) per game.

The Aztecs set new records in single season wins (26) and ACCAC conference wins (18).

The No. 2 seeded Aztecs will host the NJCAA Region I, Division II semifinal round next Wednesday, Mar. 7 at the West Campus Gymnasium against No. 3 South Mountain Community College. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
