Five Aztecs men's basketball standouts sign 4-year commitments

Five Pima Community College men's basketball players signed their four-year college letters of intent on Monday.

Sophomores Keven Biggs (Cienega HS), Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS), Ilunga Moise (Raymond S. Kellis HS), Justin Bessard and freshman Jeremiah Bailey will all continue their education and collegiate careers at the next level.

Biggs signed his letter of intent to the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks, an NCAA Division II school in Durango, CO. He was an second team NJCAA All-American and first team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division II. He played in 30 games this season averaging 17.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 block per game.

Murphy signed to play for the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds, an NCAA Division II school in Portales, NM. He was named first team All-ACCAC, first team All-Region I, Division II and was named to the NJCAA Division II All-Tournament team. He played and started in all 36 games this season averaging 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists ad 1.6 steals per game.

Moise will continue his career playing for the University of Saint Katherine Firebirds, an NCCAA Division I school in San Marcos, CA. He averaged 10.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Bessard will play for Bellevue University Bruins, an NAIA school in Bellevue, NE. He averaged 9.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and almost one steal and one block per game.

Bailey signed to the University of the Pacific Tigers, an NCAA Division I school in Stockton, CA. He was selected to the NJCAA Division II All-Tournament team. He averaged 11.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.6 steals and almost one block per game. Bailey played in 34 games this season.

The group helped the Aztecs set many program records including a 31-5 overall record and capped it off with a runner-up finish at the NJCAA Division II Tournament.
