Assistant coach Hidalgo takes Grad Assistant position at Grand Canyon University

Pima Community College men's basketball assistant coach Dylan Hidalgo is moving on to the NCAA Division I level.

Hidalgo accepted a job as a graduate assistant on the Grand Canyon University men's basketball staff where he will be coaching with former NBA player and current head coach Dan Majerle. He officially starts on Sept. 1

Hidalgo spent the last two seasons with the Aztecs after playing four years at Kansas Wesleyan University. He played high school basketball at Rincon/University High School.

Hidalgo helped guide the Aztecs to a Runner-Up and Elite Eight finishes at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament as well as two straight NJCAA Region I, Division II championships.

The Aztecs produced a two-year record of 53-18 overall and 31-13 in ACCAC conference play.
