Jaylen Alexander scores 17 points but Aztecs Men's Basketball drops game at Central Arizona College

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (16-3, 8-3 in ACCAC) lost its second straight game on Saturday at Central Arizona College (5-11, 4-7).

  • The No. 8 ranked Aztecs (Division II) fell 74-68 to the Vaqueros (Division I). The Aztecs led 34-32 at halftime but were outscored 42-34 in the second half.
  • Freshman Jaylen Alexander scored 13 of his team-high 17 points in the first half. Sophomores Traivar Jackson and Cesar Saenz (Sabino HS) each finished with 13 points. Freshman Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) added 10 points.

The Aztecs return to the West Campus Gymnasium on Wednesday when they host Phoenix College to start the second half of the season. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
