The Director of Athletics - West Campus Public Forum will be held on, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, VIRTUALLY in Zoom Meeting format!

Sophomore guard Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) became the 11th Men's Basketball NJCAA All-American as he was selected to the Third Team. He averaged 18.0 points playing and starting in all 35 games this season. He scored in double figures in 33 of the 35 games he played in. Pima Community College men’s basketball player Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) culminated his Pima career with a national award.

Sophomore Jaylen Alexander finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds but the No. 9 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball's season came to a close after they fell to No. 10 St. Clair County Community College 80-70 on Friday in Danville, IL. The Pima Community College men’s basketball season came to an end on Friday at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Sophomore Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) and freshman Gabe Oldham produced strong games as the No. 9 seeded Aztecs beat No. 16 Hocking College 107-92 on Thursday in seventh-place consolation bracket play. Baker scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half while Oldham finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (29-5) is still alive in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after picking up the win on Thursday against No. 16 seed Hocking College (24-8) in the seventh-place consolation bracket.

Freshman Cohenj Gonzales (Mesquite HS) scored a team-high 18 points but the No. 9 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball team trailed from the start as they fell to No. 8 Des Moines Area Community College 98-74. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (28-5) was forced to try overcome a double digit deficit in its NJCAA Division II National Tournament second round game against Des Moines Area Community College but it proved to be too much.

The Pima Basketball teams learned their placements in their respected NJCAA Division II National Tournaments. The men's basketball team will be the No. 9 seed and open play on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, IL. The women's team will be the No. 13 seed and open play on Monday, Mar. 18 at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, MO. The Pima Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams will be part of the madness as both teams discovered what seeds they would be for their respected NJCAA Division II National Tournaments.

The No. 2 seeded Aztecs men's basketball team claimed their first NJCAA Region I, Division II Championship since 2019 as they beat No. 1 seeded Chandler-Gilbert Community College 64-61. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team is back on the mountaintop as it captured the Region I, Division II Championship on Saturday in Chandler.

The No. 2 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball team advanced to the NJCAA Region I, Division II Finals after beating No. 3 Glendale Community College 104-79 in the semifinal round. Sophomore Jaylen Alexander scored a game-high 26 points while freshman Wes Ball had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds off the bench. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (27-4) is heading back to the NJCAA Region I, Division II Finals for the third time in four years (excluded 2020-21 Covid season).

Four Aztecs were named to the All-ACCAC and All-Region teams. Cohenj Gonzales was named ACCAC Division II Freshman of the Year. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team received some recognition for its work during the regular season as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference released their All-Conference and All-Region teams.

Freshman Gabe Oldham scored a team-high 23 points on 11 for 13 shooting but the No. 14 ranked Aztecs fell to Eastern Arizona College 94-74 snapping their 12-game winning streak. The Aztecs close the regular season at 26-4 overall and 18-4 in ACCAC conference play. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team had its 12-game winning streak snapped on Monday at Eastern Arizona College (24-6, 17-2) as it closed out the regular season.

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (26-3, 18-3 in ACCAC) closed out the home portion of its regular season schedule on Saturday against South Mountain Community College (11-18, 6-15).

Freshman Cohenj Gonzales (Mesquite HS) scored a team-high 24 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists while fellow freshman Kota Benson added nine points, eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals as the No. 14 ranked Aztecs Men's Basketball team beat Scottsdale Community College 85-69 for their 11th straight win. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (25-3, 17-3 in ACCAC) continued to roll as it earned an ACCAC conference win on Wednesday at Scottsdale Community College (12-14, 8-13).

Sophomore forward Jaylen Alexander earned his third ACCAC Division II Player of the Week honor after he averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 in Pima's wins over Phoenix College and Glendale Community College for the week of Feb. 18-24. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team’s (24-3, 16-3 in ACCAC) winning streak has eclipsed double digits as it used a big run in the first half to fuel its win over Glendale Community College (12-15, 7-12) on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

The No. 14 ranked Aztecs Men's Basketball team earned their ninth straight win after beating Phoenix College 122-81. The Aztecs have scored 100-plus points in 16 games this season.
