Cordova and Fiore named PING All-District

The Pima Community College men's golf team produced a couple representatives on the NJCAA Division I PING All-District team.

Sophomores Cooper Cordova (Mountain View HS) and Johnny Fiore (Marana HS) were selected to the District I team.

Cooper played in five of the six tournaments this season averaging 73.3 per round. His best collective round was in the final regular season tournament when he shot a 141 (71-70) at the Paradise Valley CC Invitational at the Gainey Ranch Golf Course in Scottsdale.

Fiore played in all six tournaments and shot an average of 75.8 per round. His best round was at the South Mountain Invitational at Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix where he shot a 146 (75-71).

The Aztecs are competing at the NJCAA Division I National Championship starting today until Friday at the Rawls Course in Lubbock, TX.
