Bio

Started at Pima: 2014
Education: Brigham Young University; Utah Valley State College
Coaching Experience: Coach Rustand took the position as Director of Golf/Head Men’s Golf Coach and Head Women’s Recruiting and Budget for four years at Utah Valley University (2007-2010). While there he recruited and coached 3 conference players of the year (1st - no conference affiliation, independent player of the year, 2 & 3 American Sky Conference). Coach Rustand's Pima men's golf team took first place at the Region I Championships in 2015 and 2016.
Highlights: As a player, Coach Rustand played two years at a junior college for Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University), before transferring to play at Brigham Young University. While at UVSC, he was an All-American his freshman year and finished 12th at Nationals in Dothan, AL. His sophomore year he ranked among the top five junior college golfers in the nation. After his time at BYU he played briefly as an amateur and won the 2004 Utah State Amateur before turning professional. As a professional, he recorded two professional victories (Gladstan Open, Spanish Oaks Open).
Personal: Coach Rustand was born in Tucson and went to Sabino High School. He lived in Utah for 10 years. He and his wife moved back to Tucson in 2010 and opened the Rustand Allstate Agency.
