Ishihara named to NJCAA Division I All-Tournament team; Pima earns Sportsmanship Award

Pima Community College men's soccer player Itsuki Ishihara earned some recognition for his play at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.

  • Ishihara was one of the 11 players named to the All-Tournament team. He scored one goal and had an assist in Pims's 4-2 win over Essex County College.
  • The Aztecs fell to national runner-up Eastern Florida College 1-0 in double overtime in their first game.
  • This is the second straight year that Ishihara earned the NJCAA Division I All-Tournament honor. He was selected with Hugo Kametani after last season's national title run.
  • Ishihara finished the season with 14 goals and four assists. 
  • The Aztecs earned the NJCAA Division I National Tournament Sportsmanship Award.

The Aztecs finished the season at 15-4-2 overall.
