The Pima Community College Athletics program topped its best total of individual student-athletes for the second straight year and had one team named as NJCAA All-Academic.

Pima softball coach Armando Quiroz stepped down after 11 seasons with the Aztecs. He finished with a record of 501-197-2 and won two NJCAA Region I, Division I titles. His daughter, Rebekah, who was Associate Head Coach, was named his successor. Photo by Ben Carbajal/2015-16

The Pima Community College softball program will have a changing of the guard starting this fall but the last name will remain the same.

Pima Community College softball player Mya Cabral (Pueblo HS) received national recognition for her play this season in Fastpitch News.

Pima Community College softball player Alese Casper earned another postseason honor as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its All-Region teams on Monday.

Pima Community College softball player Megan Flores (Salpointe Catholic HS) signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to play at the four-year college level.

Pima Community College softball player Sierra Gentry will return to the NCAA Division II level as she signed her letter of intent to continue her education and collegiate career.

The Pima Community College softball team earned three spots in the All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference teams released on Tuesday.

The Pima Community College softball team (35-23, 26-22 in ACCAC) is going to experience a rarity for the program in the last 16 years; miss the Region I playoffs.

The Pima Community College softball team (35-21, 26-20 in ACCAC) brought the offense but Paradise Valley Community College (29-17, 29-17) had just a little bit more on Tuesday at the West Campus Aztec Softball Field.

The Pima Community College softball team (35-19, 26-18 in ACCAC) were overwhelmed and dropped a heart breaker on Tuesday at No. 6 ranked Phoenix College (39-8, 35-7).

Pima Community College softball pitcher Alese Casper produced three quality starts and was recognized by the ACCAC conference on Monday.

The Pima Community College softball team (33-17, 24-16 in ACCAC) got back on track and snapped a four-game skid on Tuesday with two mercy-rule wins over Scottsdale Community College (7-39, 5-35).

The Pima Community College softball team (31-17, 22-16 in ACCAC) struggled to manufacture runs on Saturday in an ACCAC Division I match-up at Eastern Arizona College (39-8, 30-6).
