Softball's Prieto to tryout for Team Mexico National Team

Pima Community College softball player Edith Prieto (Sunnyside HS) will have a chance to take her game to the national level.

Prieto, a sophomore infielder, will try out for the Team Mexico National Team in Irvine, CA from Feb. 9-11. The tryout will include playing exhibition games against Team Japan according to teammexicosoftball.com.

The Aztecs will play three games as part of the Great Western Shootout in Yuma and will return to the West Campus Softball Field on Tuesday for an ACCAC conference doubleheader against Mesa Community College. The games will be at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
