Softball's Casper selected NFCA All-Region

Pima Community College softball player Alese Casper earned another postseason honor as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its All-Region teams on Monday.

Alese Casper, a freshman utility player, was named second team All-West Region. She was selected third team All-ACCAC conference earlier this month.

Casper led the Aztecs with 190 at-bats, 61 runs scored, 83 hits, 19 doubles and 14 stolen bases as their leadoff hitter. She batted .437 with 30 RBIs and 28 walks. She also threw 138.1 innings with a 13-9 record in 24 starts and 29 total appearances.

The Aztecs finished the season with a 35-23 overall record and 26-22 in ACCAC conference play.
