Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College (PCC) will move the soccer, basketball and volleyball seasons to Spring 2021 in order to align with national guidelines and keep students and the community safe during the COVID pandemic.

The Pima Community College softball program added depth at multiple positions as it signed a state champion from New Mexico.

Tucson Magnet High School catcher/utility player Kelli Samorano signed with Aztecs softball back in November. She was a four-year varsity player. The Pima Community College softball team added Desiree Martinez, an infielder/outfielder/utility player from Canyon del Oro High School. She signed her letter of intent back in November.

The Pima Community College softball team (11-8, 11-8 in ACCAC) scored 21 runs and earned an ACCAC conference doubleheader sweep on the road at Glendale Community College (12-12, 7-11).

The Pima Community College softball team (9-8, 9-8 in ACCAC) split an ACCAC doubleheader on the road at Eastern Arizona College (15-12, 13-5) on Saturday in Thatcher, AZ.

The Pima Community College softball team (8-7, 8-7 in ACCAC) had its six-game winning streak snapped on Thursday as the Aztecs dropped two games against Central Arizona College (17-10, 11-7).

Freshmen Lesly Cazares and Anisah Triste swept the ACCAC Division I Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. Cazares batted .750 (12 for 16) with 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored while Triste threw 27.1 innings with 44 strikeouts and only seven walks. Photos by Ben Carbajal
