Bio
Started at Pima: 2018
Education: Bachelor's degree of Science in Education and a Minor in Sports Management from the University of Memphis. Conference USA Academic Honor Roll. Graduated from Sahuaro High School in 2003.
Playing career: Johnson earned a full ride scholarship to play at the University of Memphis. In her junior year, she appearanced in 28 games; making 23 starts. She was 7th in the Conference USA with a 2.07 ERA.
She played two years at Pima from 2003-2005. Her team won the NJCAA Junior College World Series in 2004. The Aztecs went 70-8 and her record as a freshman was 22-1. She earned second team All-ACCAC, first team All-Region and was an alternate to the National Junior College team. In her sophomore year, Johnson was a first team All-ACCAC and All-Region. She led the conference in victories (35) and strikeouts (226). She was selected third team NJCAA All-American.
She played her freshman year of high school at Salpointe Catholic where she went 12-0. She transferred to Sahuaro High School for her junior and senior year.
Coaching career: Johnson was an assistant coach at Yavapai College from 2007-2008. She is running her own business of doing private pitching lessons for youth softball.
Personal: Johnson started playing softball when she was six-years-old.
