Bio

Started at Pima: August 2014
Education: Two Years Phoenix Community College
Coaching Experience: Coach Rascon started as the Head Coach for Desert Thunder 92 ASA travel team from 2002-2008. His teams qualified for the ASA National Tournament every year from 10U through 16U. He joined Hot Shots (Keith) in 2009 as an assistant coach. In 2010, he became head coach of Tucson Elite Gold. In 2011, he accepted a coaching position as Head Coach for Salpointe Catholic High School J.V. team. In 2012, he became Head Coach for Tucson Aztecs 18U ASA.
Highlights:  Coach Rascon led his team to a third place finish at the 10U ASA National tournament, Johnson City Tennessee, in 2003. Also to a third place finish at the 16U ASA National tournament, Sioux Falls South Dakota, in 2009.
“I’ve enjoyed being able to coach my daughter, Nicole Rascon, on all of my travel teams,” Rascon said. “It has been rewarding to watch the young ladies that I have coached from the age of ten, establish themselves as NCAA competitors at Universities across the nation."
Personal: Coach Rascon graduated from Willcox High School in 1984. He played baseball for Phoenix Community College for two years. Rascon served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1991 and is a Desert Storm Veteran. He has been married for 29 years to Tammy Rascon and they one daughter, Nicole. He is the owner/operator of Neo Chem Carpet and Restoration services, and Chandler Investments. Coach Rascon played Men’s Fastpitch Sofball with various teams in Tucson and Willcox from 1992-2003.
