Distance runner Espinoza signs to Friends University

Pima Community College cross country and track & field distance runner Aaron Espinoza (Sunnyside HS) signed his letter of intent to continue his education and collegiate career at the four-year university level.

  • Espinoza, a sophomore, signed with Friends University, an NAIA school in Wichita, KS. The Falcons compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
  • Espinoza earned third team All-NJCAA Region honors with his 12th place finish at the Region I Championships and was one of three Aztecs men's cross country runners to compete at this year's NJCAA Division I National Championships.
