Aztecs women's basketball dismantle Chandler-Gilbert CC

The Pima Community College women's basketball team (17-4, 11-2 in ACCAC) earned an ACCAC conference road victory on Saturday as it beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College (3-18, 1-12).

The No. 6 ranked Aztecs outscored the Coyotes 25-7 in the final quarter to win 83-46. The Aztecs started fast and took a double digit lead after the first quarter at 20-8.

Freshman Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) scored a game high 24 points. Sophomore Aubre Fortner scored 10 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter. Fellow sophomore Christine Ortega (Flowing Wells HS) finished the game with 12 points.

The Aztecs swept the regular season meetings with the Coyotes. They won 84-68 in November at the West Campus Gym.

The Aztecs will be back on the road on Wednesday when they play at Glendale Community College at 5:30 p.m.
