Basketball's Fortner signs to Fort Lewis College

Pima Community College women's basketball player Aubre Fortner found a new home as she signed her letter of intent to continue her education and collegiate career at the four-year college level.

Fortner, a forward from Liberty High School in Henderson, NV, signed her letter of intent to play for Fort Lewis College, an NCAA Division II institution in Durango, CO.

Fortner played in all 32 games this season; making 24 starts. She averaged 9.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She was part of the 2015-16 team that took third place at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament where she averaged 3.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. She red-shirted the 2016-17 season.

Fortner will join men's basketball player Keven Biggs (Cienega HS), who also signed to play for the Skyhawks.
