Aztecs women's basketball produce five scorers in double figures to overwhelm Arizona Christian JV

The Pima Community College women's basketball team (3-1) played a non-conference match against Arizona Christian University Junior Varsity on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

  • The No. 6 ranked Aztecs dominated as they beat the Firestorm 98-53.
  • The Aztecs hit 14 3-pointers for the game and went a combined 22 for 25 from the free throw line.
  • Sophomores Alyssa Perez (Marana HS) and Haile Gleason each scored 14 points. Sierra Mich'l finished with 11 points as she went 8 for 9 from the foul line. Freshmen Dianne Hefner and Justine Cooper (Chandler Prep HS) each netted 11 points.

The Aztecs begin ACCAC conference play on Wednesday at Cochise College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
