Mich'l earns ACCAC Player of the Week for the second time

Pima Community College women's basketball forward Sierra Mich'l put up some huge numbers for the week of Dec. 2-8.

  • Mich'l, a freshman forward, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week after she helped the Aztecs go 1-1 for the week. The Aztecs fell to then No. 6 ranked Central Arizona College 74-70 but bounced back at Scottsdale Community College with an 83-70 win.
  • Mich'l averaged 16 points and 13.5 rebounds. She capped off the week with 19 points and 18 rebounds against the Artichokes. She also had four blocks, two steals and two assists in the two games.
  • She is averaging 10.5 points and 8.4 rebounds in eight games this season.

The Aztecs host Tohono O'odham Community College tonight at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Pima beat Arizona Western College 72-67 on Monday.
