Lawson named ACCAC Player of the Week for third time

Pima Community College women's basketball player Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) continued her standout play as she was recognized once again by the ACCAC conference.

  • Lawson, a sophomore forward, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 13-19. This is the third time Lawson has earned the honor as she previously took it home for the weeks of Jan. 6-12 and Dec. 6-12.
  • Lawson helped lead the Aztecs to victories over Phoenix College and at Glendale Community College. She averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
  • Lawson is averaging 13.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in 18 games played this season.

The Aztecs host Cochise College on Wednesday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
