Women's Basketball Forward Keara Felix signs to Texas Wesleyan University

Pima Community College women's basketball player Keara Felix signed her letter of intent on Tuesday to continue her education and collegiate career at the four-year university level.

  • Felix, a sophomore forward from Overland High School in Aurora, CO, signed to play at Texas Wesleyan University, an NAIA school in Fort Worth, TX. The Rams play in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
  • Felix played in 63 total games for the Aztecs over the course of three seasons. The Aztecs were 50-23 with her on the roster.
  • She played in all 31 games this season; making 15 starts in the front court averaging 4.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. Felix grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds after being inserted into the starting lineup against Colorado Northwestern Community College on Dec. 31. She scored a season-high 13 points on Feb. 12 at Scottsdale Community College.
  • Felix helped the Aztecs win the NJCAA Region I, Division II title in 2020, the NJCAA Division II Southwest District crown in 2021 and take the runner-up plaque at the NJCAA Region I, Division II Tournament this season.
