They went on a 10-0 run and seven of those points came from the foul line to make it 40-28. Pima outscored Arizona Western 17-9 in third quarter but were still down 44-33.
  • Freshman Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) scored the first points of the fourth quarter to cut it to a single digit deficit at 44-35 with 8:34 left but the Matadors scored a free throw and two points on their possessions.  They maintained their double digit lead for the rest of the game.
