Aztecs women's golf in 16th place after third round at NJCAA Championship

The Pima Community College women's golf team closed out the third round of play at the NJCAA National Championship on Wednesday at the Chateau Elan Golf Club in Duluth, GA.

The Aztecs sit in 16th place in the team standings with a three-day total of 1085 (387-344-354).

Sophomore Desiree Hong (Sahuaro HS) shot a nine-over par 80 on the day. She is tied for 16th place with a three-day score of 236 (77-79-80). Hong has a chance to be an NJCAA All-American for the second straight year as the top 18 golfers in the standings receive the honor.

Sophomore Samantha Hacker (Sahuaro HS) and freshman Abby Miller (Ironwood Ridge HS) each have a total of 265. Hacker shot an 85 (99-81-85) for the round and Miller closed out her day with an 86 (95-84-86). Freshman Julianna Perez has a total of 319 (116-100-103).

The Aztecs close out play in the NJCAA Championship on Thursday.
