Solano signs to play for the University of the Southwest

Pima Community College women's golfer Clara Solano (Tucson HS) will continue her collegiate career at the four-year university level.

Solano, a sophomore, signed her letter of intent to the University of the Southwest, an NAIA program in Hobbs, NM. She officially signed on Mar. 14.

She finished a career-best 10th lace in the individual standings at the South Mountain Invitational on Mar. 19 at the Aguila Golf Course. She had three top 15 finishes last season; her best was a 12th place finish at the Tres Rios Golf Course.
