Aztecs women's golf completes first round of NJCAA National Championship

The Pima Community College women's golf team opened play in the NJCAA National Championship on Tuesday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, FL.

  • The Aztecs sit tied in 18th place out of 19 teams as they finished with a score of 408.
  • Freshman Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) had the best individual score for the Aztecs as she finished with a 96. She is tied for 73rd place out of 127 competitors.
  • Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) closed out her round with a 99 while sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) finished the day with a 101.
  • Sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) shot a 112 and sophomore Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) had a 114.

The Aztecs continue play at the LPGA International on Wednesday. They will tee off starting at 8:30 a.m. (ET).
