Bio

Started at Pima: 2012
Coaching/Playing Experience: Coach Price is a member of The Professional Golfers Association of America and has been teaching and playing professional golf for 33 years.  He has been the Pima women’s golf head coach the last three years, and was the men’s assistant golf coach 2012-2013.  He attended Yavapai Community College where he played for two years and earned Junior College All-America status in 1980. He went on to receive a golf scholarship to play for the University of Arizona from 1980-1982 earning a PAC-10 Honorable Mention. He was honored by the University by being inducted into the Arizona Golf Wall of Fame. Price turned professional in 1982 and attempted to qualify for the PGA TOUR.  He played professional mini tours for a number of years before settling into tournament management and working for the NGA, TPA, and PGA TOUR’s.  In 1990, he became a local golf club professional and has been a resident of Southern Arizona since 1980.
Highlights: Coach Price has won Golf Professional of the Year for the Southwest Section Southern Chapter PGA six times and has won numerous professional events in the Southwest Section.  He is currently the Director of Operations for the PGA Southwest Section Southern Chapter for the past seven years, which includes coordinating the Ricki Rarick Junior Golf program. Price is a strong advocate of promoting the game of golf and is the owner and Publishing Editor of Golf Arizona Magazine and www.gogolfarizona.com.
Personal: Coach Price has been married to Jenny Price for 20 years and has three children as well as two grandchildren.
