The Pima Community College women's soccer team (7-1, 7-1 in ACCAC) dominated from start to finish in its game against Cochise College on Tuesday at the Kino North Stadium.
The Aztecs scored five first half goals and beat Cochise 7-1. Freshman Gentry McPherson (pictured) scored four goals for the Aztecs. She scored two first half goals and both were assisted by sophomore Devyn Hunley (Sabino HS) in the 8th and 20th minutes. McPherson secured the hat trick in the 71st minute with an assist from freshman Mauri Urcadez (Tucson Magnet HS). She scored her fourth goal in the 74th with an assist from Shelton.
Hunley put the Aztecs on the board in the 4th minute with her goal assisted by McPherson. Sophomore Callen Shelton and freshman Destiny Jones (Canyon del Oro HS) contributed with their goals at the end of the first half to make it 5-0. Sophomores Lexxi Hanabergh (Sahuaro HS) and Prescilla Gonzalez (Buena HS) had the assists respectively.
Freshman goalkeeper Daniela Sanchez (Sabino HS) finished the game with four saves as the Aztecs outshot Cochise 13-5.
The Aztecs will be back at Kino North Stadium on Saturday when they host Mesa Community College at 4:30 p.m.
