Gutierrez selected ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College women's soccer player Taylor Gutierrez (Tucson HS) helped the Aztecs trail through a tough week of competition and was awarded for her efforts.

  • Gutierrez, a freshman defender, was named ACCAC Player of the Week. The Aztecs went 1-1-1 for the week of Sept. 17-23 as Gutierrez scored a goal and had an assist in Pima's 3-0 win at Cochise College.
  • She helped the Aztecs keep No. 7 Phoenix College at bay in their 1-1 tie and kept Pima in the game in their 3-2 loss to No. 4 Arizona Western College.
  • Gutierrez has played and started in all 11 games for the Aztecs this season.
  • The Aztecs (5-4-2) are on the road tonight as they play at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (5-4-1) at 7:00 p.m.
