Angelina Amparano earns second nod for ACCAC Division II Goalkeeper of the Week

Pima Community College women's soccer player Angelina Amparano (Salpointe Catholic HS) had another standout week for the Aztecs as the ACCAC conference recognized her for the second straight week.

  • Amparano, a sophomore, was named ACCAC Division II Goalkeeper of the Week for the week of Oct. 10-16.
  • Amparano helped the Aztecs gain victories against Paradise Valley Community College and at Cochise College as she picked up another 13 saves and played 163 minutes of shutout soccer.
  • Amparano has played and started in 11 games this season with 53 saves in 876 minutes. She has a saves percentage of .946.

The No. 3 ranked Aztecs (Division II) close out the regular season tonight as they play at No. 13 ranked Arizona Western College (Division I) at 7:00 p.m.
