The Pima Community College volleyball team (8-12, 2-6 in ACCAC) got back to ACCAC conference play on Wednesday but fell at home.
The Aztecs avoided being swept but fell to No. 17 ranked Mesa Community College (9-4, 6-2) in four sets 25-16, 25-22, 20-25, 25-15 at the West Campus Gymnasium.
Sophomore Aleksandra Palmer (Thatcher HS) finished the match with 12 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Hannah Gerard (Canyon del Oro HS) produced 19 assists with 17 digs and three aces while freshman Anissa Conrad had 20 digs. Fellow freshman Mattea Reeb (Mountain View HS) had two aces.
The Aztecs will be back on the road on Friday when they play at Glendale Community College at 7:00 p.m. The Aztecs lost to Glendale 3-1 last month at the West Campus Gymnasium.
