Riesgo and Davis double-doubles push Aztecs volleyball passed Phoenix College

The Pima Community College volleyball team (7-11, 4-4 in ACCAC) earned an ACCAC conference win on the road on Wednesday at Phoenix College.

The Aztecs beat the Bears (8-7, 3-6) in four sets 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21. The Aztecs swept the regular season head-to-head meetings with the Bears this season. Pima won in four sets last month at the West Campus Gym.

Sophomore Kayli Riesgo (Cienega HS) produced her 11th double-double of the season as she finished with 47 assists and 12 digs to go along with three kills. Fellow sophomore Victoria Davis (Sahuaro HS) earned her ninth double-double with 20 kills and 21 digs.

Sophomore Anissa Conrad (Sahuaro HS) had 33 digs and one ace while freshman Lyrica Tavesi (Pima HS) contributed with nine kills and two blocks.

The Aztecs will be back on the road on Friday when they play at No. 18 ranked Scottsdale Community College at 7:00 p.m.
