The Pima Community College volleyball program picked up two more local committments for the 2018 season.

Annie Pena (Sabino HS) and Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS) signed their letters of intent to play for the Aztecs.

Pena, a 5-8 outside hitter, was named AIA second team All-Region and third team All-Southern Arizona by AllSportsTucson.com. She had 269 kills, 121 digs, 27 blocks and 21 aces in 106 sets played for the Sabercats.

"Annie is a terrific all around player that is also a really explosive athlete," Pima volleyball head coach Dan Bithell said. "Adding a player like Annie at this point speaks a lot to the depth of our incoming class and I see Annie doing great things as an Aztec. We are excited to bring her into the Pima family."

Deeter, a 6-1 middle blocker, was also selected AIA second team All-Region. She was named second team All Southern Arizona by AllSportsTucson.com. She had 70 kills, 24 aces and six blocks on the season in 55 sets played.

"I am very excited to welcome Kendall to the Pima family. She is a powerful attacker and has terrific all around skills," Bithell said. "I feel Kendall will be in a position to contribute to our success very quickly. She is a wonderful young person and I couldn't be more thrilled to have her as an Aztec."
