The Pima Community College volleyball program signed its sixth recruit for the 2018 season on Thursday at the West Campus Gymnasium.

Ashlee Sappington, a 5-11 outside hitter from Mountain View High School, signed her letter of intent to play for the Aztecs.

Sappington was named second team All-Southern Arizona All Stars as a senior. She played in 55 sets for the Mountain Lions and finished the season with 157 kills, 123 digs, 23 aces and seven blocks.

"I am excited to have Ashlee join our program. She brings great length, athleticism and ball control to the outside hitter position," Pima volleyball coach Dan Bithell said. "Ashlee is a wonderful, intelligent young person and I am thrilled to have her join the Aztec family."

Sappington joins fellow recruits Grace Adams (Sabino HS), Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS), Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS), Annie Pena (Sabino HS) and Mackenzie Welch (Willcox HS) on the 2018 squad.
