The Pima Community College volleyball team (0-2) opened up the 2018 season on Friday in the first day of the New Mexico Military Institute Classic.
- The Aztecs tied their match with a second set win but dropped the next two against Hutchinson Community College (25-12, 13-25, 25-19, 25-23).
- The Aztecs came back and played a tight match with North Central Texas College. Pima tied the match on two occasions but could not overtake the tie-breaker as they fell 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-10.
The Aztecs will be back in action on Saturday for the final day of the NMMI Classic. They will play Garden City Community College at 10:00 a.m. and Seward County Community College at 2:00 p.m.
