Started at Pima: 1999
Coaching Experience: Coach Bithell begins his 21st season at the helm of the Pima Community College Volleyball program. Prior to assuming the head coaching role, he was an assistant and a volunteer for six seasons. Additionally, coach Bithell has 18 seasons of club coaching experience including head coaching/director responsibilities with VBC Dinamo and most recently as a travel team coach with Zona Volleyball Club.
Highlights: During his tenure at Pima, coach Bithell has mentored 32 All-Conference players, three NJCAA All Americans and 27 Academic All American players. Coach Bithell’s teams have been nominated for the academic team of the year on four occasions. Through coaching various elite teams, he has helped in preparing and placing some of Tucson’s finest volleyball players in colleges such as; Auburn University, Columbia University, University of Florida, Grand Canyon University, University of Maryland, UNLV, New Mexico State University, Northern Arizona University, Oberlin College, University of the Pacific, Pepperdine University, Point Loma Nazarene University, Quincy University, Rice University, Seattle University and Tennessee State University.
Personal: In his free time coach Bithell enjoys photography, riding his mountain and road bikes and playing volleyball.
