Bio

Started at Pima: 2005
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Finance (University of Texas at San Antonio, 1990); Master of Arts, Education (Northern Arizona University)
Coaching/Playing Experience: PCC Head Coach, Men’s and Women’s Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country (2005 to present); competed in NCAA Division I Cross Country/Track and Field (University of Texas at San Antonio); qualified and competed in three U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, placing 20th in 2000
Highlights: Three ACCAC Championships in Women’s Cross Country; two NJCAA Region Championships in Women’s Cross Country. PCC Women’s Cross Country teams placed in top 10 at the National Championships (2006-2013; fifth in 2008; sixth in 2015). Men's cross country placed 6th at the NJCAA National Championships in 2014. Nine of Wenneborg’s PCC teams or individuals have broken a total of nine outdoor and 22 indoor track and field school records; six individuals have won national championships during his tenure.
Personal: Two children, Audrey and Grant; 23 years as math teacher, Flowing Wells School District; Southern Arizona Roadrunners Running Club board member
