Pima Athletics reveals 34 individuals as NJCAA All-Academic; women's basketball selected All-Academic honorable mention

The Pima Community College Athletics program topped its best total of individual student-athletes for the second straight year and had one team selected NJCAA All-Academic honorable mention.

The 16 members of the Aztecs women's basketball team completed the academic year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.20.

"This is one of the highest compliments this program has received. I'm very proud of the hard work on and off the court from each one of these student-athletes," Pima women's basketball coach Todd Holthaus said. "Our counselors Valerie Vidal-King and Ernesto Garcia are the best and what they do every day for our student-athletes is remarkable. I can't thank them enough for all they've done for our program."

The Aztecs individual student-athletes selected had to complete two full-time semesters of college work, participated in at least one season at Pima, pass a minimum of 24 semester hours in the current academic year and earn a minimum GPA of 3.6.
