Aztecs Men's Basketball Dominate in Season Opener
The Pima Community College men's basketball team (1-0) took control early in its 2015-16 regular season opener on Saturday at the West Campus.
The Aztecs defeated Taylor Made Prep out of Phoenix 109-48. They took a 51-25 lead at halftime.
Pima produced four players in double figures as sophomore Justice Martion led the way with 16 points on 7 for 9 shooting. A pair of freshmen made contributions as Dakota Kordsiemon (Catalina Foothills HS) finished with 14 points on 5 for 7 shooting and Keven Biggs (Cienega HS) had 12 points and six rebounds. Sophomore Yusef Shehata (Amphitheater HS) contributed with 11 points.
Sophomore Cameron Volk (Tucson Magnet HS), along with freshmen Zach Evans (Hamilton HS) and Kale Abbott (Mesa HS) each had nine points.
The Aztecs will host Hillcrest Prep on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the West Campus. The game will start at 4:00 p.m.
