Bessard and Wilson's double-doubles help carry Aztecs men's basketball passed CGM Prep

Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men's basketball team (2-0) showed off a relentless offense on Saturday in its non-conference win over CGM Prep on Saturday at the West Campus Gymnasium.

The Aztecs won 124-89 after displaying their dominance early in the first half. The Aztecs led 66-37 at halftime and outrebounded CGM Prep 37-16.

Sophomore Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) finished with a team-high 22 points along with five steals and four assists. Freshman Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) netted 20 points off the bench.

Sophomore Justin Bessard and freshman Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) produced double-doubles for the game. Bessard had 12 points and 16 rebounds while Wilson finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

Sophomore Alize Travis finished with 14 points and eight assists while freshman Nik Nehls (Cheshire Academy) contributed with 13 points. Sophomore Ilunga Moise had 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Aztecs will host Odessa College on Friday at the West Campus. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
