Carrasco posts 32 pts, 10 asts as Aztecs men's basketball goes 3-0 at Bruce Fleck Classic

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (12-1) closed out the Bruce Fleck Classic in dominating fashion on Saturday.

The No. 6 ranked Aztecs defeated Division I Bismarck State College 133-95 to win their seventh straight. The Aztecs beat Utah State University-Eastern 99-81 on Thursday and Macomb Community College 115-99 on Friday.

The Aztecs started the game on a 19-4 run and led by as much as 31 in the first half. Pima led 65-38 at the break. The Aztecs outscored the Mystics 68-57 in the second half.

Freshman Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) finished the game with his second straight double-double with 32 points and 10 assists. He went 12 for 19 from the field and 4 for 10 from three-point range. Carrasco averaged 23 points and nine assists in the three games during the Bruce Fleck Classic.

Sophomore Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) scored 23 points while fellow sophomore Keven Biggs (Cienega HS) dropped 22 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists. Biggs averaged 21.7 points per game the last three days.

Freshman Jeremiah Bailey finished the game with 19 points on 8 for 12 shooting. He also had eight rebounds and four assists. Freshman Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) also had a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore Ilunga Moise (Raymond S. Kellis HS) contributed with nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Aztecs return to ACCAC conference play on Wednesday when they play at Scottsdale Community College at 7:30 p.m.
