Pima Community College men's basketball player Robert Wilson (Salpointe Catholic HS) signed his letter of intent to continue at the four-year university level.

Sophomore guard Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) signed his letter of intent to play at Concordia University Irvine, an NCAA Division II institution out of the Pacific West Conference in Irvine, CA. Pima Community College men’s basketball player Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) signed his national letter of intent on Friday to continue his education and collegiate career.

Basketball players Travis Walker and Kennedy Koehler, along with Team Manager Joe Gutierrez, signed their letters of intent to attend four year universities. Walker will play for Arizona Christian University while Koehler will play at University of California, Davis. Gutierrez will be the team manager for Benedictine University at Mesa. Pima Community College men's basketball players Kennedy Koehler and Travis Walker (Sabino HS) along with Team Manager Joe Gutierrez (Cienega HS) signed their national letters of intent on Thursday.

Sophomore guard Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) became the seventh Pima men's basketball player to be named NJCAA All-American. He is the fourth player under coach Brian Peabody. The Pima Community College men’s basketball produced its third NJCAA All-American in any many years as the NJCAA released its teams on Monday.

The Aztecs men's basketball team took seventh place at the NJCAA Division II Tournament on Saturday after beating Ancilla College 104-101. The Aztecs closed out the season with a 29-7 overall record. Photo courtesy of the NJCAA.

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team closed out the 2018-19 season on Saturday at the NJCAA Division II Tournament in Danville, IL.

Freshman Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) flirted with a triple-double as he finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Pima's 105-73 win over Pitt Community College in an NJCAA Division II tournament consolation game. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team earned an emphatic victory on Friday in consolation game against Pitt Community College (24-10).

Sophomore Kennedy Koehler posted his 20th double-double of the season as he went 10 for 14 from the field with 26 points and 15 rebounds. The No. 3 seeded Aztecs defeated No. 6 St. Clair County Community College 93-75 in Thursday's consolation game. The Aztecs will play Pitt Community College in another consolation match-up on Friday. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (27-7) bounced back in the consolation bracket at the NJCAA Division II Tournament on Thursday.

Freshman Jordan Robinson was a bright spot for the Aztecs as he finished with 18 points but the No. 3 seeded Aztecs men's basketball team were upset by No. 14 Cecil College 81-72. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (25-6) will enter the NJCAA Division II Tournament as the No. 3 seed as the brackets were released on Tuesday.

The Pima Community College men's and women's basketball teams will play in their respected NJCAA Region I, Division II Championship games at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

Sophomore Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) broke the Pima all-time career scoring record after he scored 12 points in Pima's 101-77 win over Glendale Community College in the Region I, Division II semifinals. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (25-6) advanced to its third straight NJCAA Region I, Division II finals on Wednesday after beating Glendale Community College (16-14) in the semifinal match-up at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

Sophomore Abram Carrasco claimed his third ACCAC Division II Player of the Week selection. He averaged 31.5 points last week which included a 41-point outburst against Phoenix College. He needs 12 points to pass Greg Cook for the most points scored in a Pima men's basketball career. Pima Community College men's basketball player Abram Carrasco (Cholla HS) claimed his third ACCAC Division II Player of the Week award on Thursday for the week of Feb. 18-24.
