Aztecs men's golf takes fourth place at Estrella Mountain Invitational

The Pima Community College men's golf team closed out play in its third tournament of the season on Tuesday at the Estrella Mountain Invitational.

  • The Aztecs took fourth place in the final team standings with a two-day score of 596 (302-294) at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, AZ. They were eight strokes behind Paradise Valley Community College for third place and 14-strokes back from Eastern Arizona College for second.
  • Freshman Samuel Salisbury (Walden Grove HS) was the best individual scorer for the Aztecs as he tied for 14th place. He shot an even-par 72 in his second round and had a two-day total of 148 (76-72).
  • Freshman Curtis Goldin (McClintock HS) shot a 1-over par 73 for his second round as he finished with a 149 (76-73). Sophomore Diego Cueva-Schraidt (Sabino HS) was tied for 20th with a 151 (75-76) and freshman Matthew Fimbres (Cienega HS) had a 154 (79-75).

The Aztecs will play in the Scottsdale CC Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 25-26 at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Sun City, AZ.
